Hunter Hutchinson
Hunter Hutchinson
Hunter Hutchinson was born and raised in Abilene, Texas where he attended Wylie High School. He is an alumni of Texas Tech University and of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, in which he was heavily involved in the Greek community.
Hunter’s journey unknowingly began in 2008 when he lost his father, Chuck Hutchinson, to cancer at the young age of 14. His father was a huge inspiration to him and is the reason he learned how to play the guitar. Chuck Hutchinson’s passing was incredibly hard on Hunter and his family, especially at such a young age. Hunter dealt with his emotions the only way he knew how, and that was with his dads guitar and a pen and paper.
In March of 2015, he released his first full-length album entitled “What Do You Say” produced by his buddy and mentor Aaron Watson at Big Note Studio in Abilene. With new music in hand, Hunter and his band toured all over Texas opening for many name-worthy act such as Josh Abbot, Randy Rogers, Hank Williams III, Aaron Watson and so many more.
While touring, Hunter began writing for his sophomore record “Keep Rolling On” which he recently released in the Fall of 2017 with his first single “Summer Love Song” reaching the Top 40 on the Texas Radio Charts. He has partnered with True Grit Talent Agency for booking and was recently signed by Breelan Angel to True Grit Management, owned and operated by Arthur Penhallow, JR., formerly of Punch Enterprises and C3 Management. True Grit’s management roster also includes Cody Jinks, Whitey Morgan, Ward Davis, Sunny Sweeney & Blue Water Highway.
A busy year ahead, Hunter is gearing up for his second single release, “Lovin’ For The Last Time”, which is due out February 2018. Hunters Spring Tour so far will include Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri with more dates to be released along the way.
